“A mind that is stretched by new experiences can never go back to its old dimensions.”

Being a global citizen defined by the Global Citizens Initiative, are individuals “who are able to be a part of the emerging world community, and whose actions contribute to building this community’s values and practices.”
As Kingdom Citizens we care deeply about our neighbors and community and are driven to build God’s Kingdom here on earth. We strive to uphold the values and practices of Jesus Christ, and we desire to demonstrate how compassion and justice, work and ministry, grace and truth; can be fused together.
As the world becomes more global, it is essential for the next generation to have intercultural knowledge and exposure. At One Collective Nicaragua, we are committed to creating opportunities for students to become not just Global Citizens, but Kingdom Citizens.
We currently have opportunities to come alongside local assets and One Collective workers in the following areas:

We have found over the years that the most fruitful and rewarding experiences have occured when a student is:
One of our values with International Teams is living amongst those we serve. During your internship you will be hosted by a local family, will be partnered with a local asset, and will be invited cross cultural learning experiences. We care deeply about what God will do in you and through you and we care deeply about moving the vision of One Collective forward by your efforts.
We currently offer two internship tracks:
Summer internships: June - July (2 months)
Semester internships: Spring or Fall (3-4 months)

“I had the privilege to spend two months working with One Collective in Masatepe as their business intern. During my time, I discovered how to serve others as a vocation and was welcomed into the community. I made lasting friendships, lived with a host- family, worked on my Spanish, and was mentored by my wonderful leaders. This experience ultimately lead me to decide to move to Masatepe for an additional two-years after I graduated from college.” - Becca Noveroske
